Features
single and multiple user
accounts
Supports both single and multiple user accounts. A single user
account is a mailbox that receives messages for just one user
in your organization. A multiple user account is a mailbox
that receives messages for more than one user and in many
cases for an entire organization (also known as global or
domain accounts). eXchange POP3 examines each message and
using advanced routing technology delivers the message to the
appropriate Exchange Server users.

In some circumstances you may want to share an Internet
mailbox between eXchange POP3 and another user. eXchange POP3
can optionally not delete a message after it has been
downloaded leaving it for others to download as well. You can
specify how long an already downloaded message should stay in
a mailbox before eXchange POP3 removes it.
message size restriction
Optionally set limit on message size for downloading. If
message is to big it is deleted without being downloaded but a
message is sent to the intended recipients stating that the
message was discarded due to its size.

Virus
Scanning

eXchange POP3's virus scanning architecture works with almost
all virus scanners on the market. eXchange POP3 allows you to
use the virus scanner you already have chosen and trust for
your organization to scan email messages before they are
delivered to Exchange Server. You can set options on how to
handle a message if a virus is detected. Options include
moving message to a special folder and notifying the sender,
recipients and postmaster. |

Send all outgoing messages to your Internet Service Provider's
(ISP) smart host (SMTP server) or send them directly to their
destination domain using DNS lookup.

Some ISPs require authentication before accepting messages to
be sent through them. eXchange POP3 supports the 2 main
authentication methods: 1) some ISPs require a login to your
Internet mailbox before sending, and 2) some ISPs require a
user Id and password before sending (SMTP Authentication). |

Folders

You can create folders for storing messages. Messages are
stored to a folder if a rule is configured to do so or if you
have configured virus scanning to quarantine infected
messages. You can view the list of messages in a folder
including their properties and histories. You can also forward
messages to a list of recipients.
